Year 2 Staff Team

Hello and welcome!

We are so excited to be teaching in Year 2, an important year as we prepare children for Key Stage 2. Our aim is to ensure that all pupils feel happy, supported and challenged through quality first teaching within their classroom environment. By continuing to provide the foundations of knowledge through a carefully designed and enriching curriculum, we aim to empower children so they can start to critically apply what has been taught.

Here are just a few of the wonderful things pupils will be learning over the year:

• Discovering and exploring new artistic skills in painting and drawing
• Learning about the Great Fire of London and the impact it had
• Delving into uses of everyday materials
• Building an understanding of others around us and celebrating differences

By the end of Year 2, we are confident your child will have had an enriching experience which has built on their understanding of key topics and personally developed them as individuals.

Parent Support: 

We value the offer of support from parents in any way. Parents have supported the school by hearing children read, volunteering in the classroom & for school trips, helping at whole school events, managing the library, and many other fantastic ways. Additionally, parents have offered their time and specialised skills such as decorating corridors with engaging art displays or building structures for plants in the playground.
