Nursery provision – Daily Routine

Children at our Nursery enjoy a balance of free choice and structured activities, all planned thoughtfully and meticulously  by staff with the individual needs and interests of the children in mind.

Typical day at Our Nursery

 8.00 - 9.00am Children are welcomed by staff and friends and settle in with free choice play


 9.10 - 9.25am Session begins with news and topic discussions in circle time
 9.25 - 11.15am Fun-filled activities, indoors and outdoors, in each area of learning including: arts & crafts, role-play, science & discovery, ICT, language & literacy, maths, cooking, games and toys, natural thinkers sessions

Monday/ Thursday: Music Sessions

10.00 - 10.30am Morning snacks and drinks
11.15 - 11.30am Circle Time: sharing achievements and their work with others
11.30 - 12.00pm We say goodbye to the morning children, and start hygiene routines and preparations for lunch time
12.00 - 12.30pm Lunch (ask at the children's centre reception for the latest menu)
12.30 - 12.45pm Afternoon session begins by chatting about news and our topic in circle time, Welcoming afternoon children

Rest time for some children

12.45 - 2.00pm More activities indoors and outdoors, exploring and discovering the garden area
2.00 - 2.45pm Relax time, snack and drinks
2.45 - 3.15pm Circle Time, stories and rhymes, afternoon children departing
3.15 - 3.30pm Dance, sing and make music together
3.30 - 3.45pm Stories, sharing achievements
3.45 - 4.30pm Tea time
4.30 - 5.50pm Indoor and outdoor play and then relax with books, games and activities until parents arrive.
