Our parent/teacher association is called the Friends/PTA of Clapham Manor. We are a registered charity and all parents and carers of pupils at the school are automatically members and very welcome.
The Friends/ PTA raise money for the school for additional resources and activities for your children. We have helped fund:
- The school’s new Food Technology room
- Coaches for trips
- Musicians and drama lessons
- Pottery lessons
- Visitors to the school
- Playground equipment
- Art equipment
and much more.
We run a variety of fund-raising events including cake sales, quiz nights, Easter hat parades, Christmas and Summer fayres, discos, Christmas tree sales, competitions, welcome events for Reception parents and social events – and we’re always looking for new ideas.
Everyone is welcome at meetings which happen at least once a term. Please click here for the minutes of the latest meeting.
How You Can Get Involved
You can be involved as much or little as you like. Maybe you’d like to help listen to children read, run a stall at the Summer Fayre, make a cake, sell raffle tickets, accompany a school trip, run the bar at a quiz night, do a sponsored run or help sell Christmas trees? Perhaps you have a skill which could help the school, you would like a role on the committee, or you would like to meet and socialise with parents / carers at the school?
There’s usually Friends/ PTA news in the Thursday Newsletter in your child’s book bag and on the notice boards in the infant and junior playgrounds. You can also join us on our Facebook page: Click here.
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to our email mailing list and also to send ideas, comments or suggestions. We’d love to hear from you and look forward to meeting you.
Get involved. It’s fun, friendly and helps your child at Clapham Manor.
